December Wrap-up//We passed level 20 of Jumanji

Happy New Year!

I hope each and every one of you has been having a great or comparatively better 2021! This month has been pretty amazing so far! I recently celebrated my blog’s first anniversary and started my first read for 2021, The Burning God by R.F Kuang, which well, I’m suffering but in a good way :D

January is gonna be a tad bit stressful as my finals are approaching so I might go on hiatus in February. All that aside, I read a lot in December and there were very few yet impactful music releases!

• The Weight Of Our Sky Hanna Alkaf // This was a new addition to my “will not stop screaming about” shelf because this is literally perfect. A Historical Fiction book with mental health rep which also has a webtoon I binge read right after finishing the book? I’m sold. ★★★★★
• Aerial Magic Ari North // A webtoon about sapphic witches + music is everything I need in life ★★★☆☆
• Star Daughter Shveta Thakrar // The prose was beautiful but the pacing was way too slow for my liking so I am kinda disappointed but this wasn’t bad! ★★★★☆ (3.75)

• A Curse Of Roses Diana Pinguicha // Lovely prose, amazing characters and interesting plot! My inner Historical Fantasy enthusiast is very satisfied. ★★★★☆ [review]
• A Touch Of Death Rebecca Crunden // I’ve not been into dystopian novels very much but this was pretty interesting! ★★★★☆
• Finding My Voice Marie Myung-Ok Lee // Even though I cannot listen to audiobooks, the narrator of this book made this book enjoyable! ★★★☆☆
• Kpop Confidential Stephan Lee // This book sounded like the book of my dreams but this was everything but that. If you like fanfics then maybe you’ll enjoy this, but I don’t so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯★★☆☆☆

• The Dragon Republic R.F Kuang // I love suffering. (vague spoiler: quote) “he brushed his lips against her forehead as he drove the knife deeper into her back” is the reason I wake up every day only to lose my mind. ★★★★★
• The Drowning Faith R.F Kuang // Nezha, I hate you and I love you. This book is making The burning god 100x more painful. ★★★★★
• The Fever King Victoria Lee // This webtoon was amazing and I cannot wait to read the novel soon too! ★★★★☆

What else happened this month?

To be honest, not much. The same old routine. The teachers keep telling us that we gotta come to school (lmao noone will go) and they keep scaring reminding us about our upcoming finals. Online classes suck.

Bangtan gives me serotonin everyday after classes and I play among us with my friends sometimes too! And ooh, I am starting (at least trying) to watch more K-dramas so I started watching Hotel Del Luna! I’m more than half way through and it is pretty awesome so far!

I’m officially addicted to organizing as Notion has taken over my life. I keep wanting to tweak my pages even though they are perfect like please send help.
